Today great news from Baselworld. The actor Arnold Schwarzenegger came to meet Italo Fontana and has chosen the biggest watch of U-Boat collection: U-42, 65 mm. But when he was leaving, he has been fascinated by Welder, and he decided to stop at the stand to ask about this new brand, very interested to the new K24- 3311. At Baselworld 2011 Italo Fontana introduced the brand new K33 family to the Welder collection. The K33 features a new coloured PVD technology in red, blue and purple. The Welder trademark left hand chrono sits embedded in these jewel tones; a stark contrast to the black 316L PVD steel case. The hands are also treated to match the pigmented projection and create a colour injection onto the otherwise subdued monochrome dial.

Though the dial is modest at first glance, the numerals are wittily placed on and a half hours off their usual position. This gives a new dynamic to the dial and opens up the face in an innovative and unexpected manner. The K32’s black silicon strap and PVD case reiterate the strength of the watch, waterproof to 100m (10ATM), culminating in a watch built with sharp design and uncompromising practicality.

Discovering Italia in miniatura, thematic park

The park is a little bit dated, but always nice to see. We recommend you follow the route starting from Puglia, even children surely will be eager to bypass the sights and go straight to the games. The tour of the monuments is particularly pleasing, and admirable the quality of scale models. Maybe get you must study geography .. not because there is a risk of getting lost, but the regions are not marked. Italian sea… so loved around the world …. is not so well rapresented: a water less green and stagnant would surely be appreciated.
To visit our miniature peninsula takes at least an afternoon, take it easy and you will be affected by the syndrome of photos of the monument, just as has happened to us. And beyond the Alps of Europe is waiting for the summary, which is dominated by the mighty Eiffel Tower.

If you have time and kids with you, you should spend two afternoons in the park, taking advantage of the ticketis valid for two days.

History

Italy in miniature opened its doors July 4, 1970 with its first 50 miniatures, thanks to the entrepreneur Ivo Rambaldi, who impressed by a miniature park abroad, went to work with a team composed of engineers and architects to visit and measure, meter in hand, palaces, squares and bridges taking over 6000 photos. For the construction of monuments, after several attempts, the choice fell on the ureol, a particular type of polyurethane, easily shaped and very durable. The first monument was built St. Apollinaris in Classe in honor of Ravenna, the city of Rambaldi.
